How it works
Glimepiride is an anti-diabetic medication. It works by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas in order to lower the blood glucose and Metformin is an anti-diabetic medicine. It restores the body’s ability to use insulin, lowering the blood sugar levels. It also decreases the amount of glucose absorbed from food in the intestine and decreases glucose production in the liver. Voglibose is active in the small intestine, where it inhibits enzymes which are responsible for the breakdown of complex sugar into simple sugars such as glucose. Which thereby slows the digestion of sugar in the intestines and primarily lowers the post-meal rise in blood sugar levels.
