Tranexamic Acid (1Mg), Mefenamic Acid (Na)
Used for
It is used to prevent or reduce bleeding for short period of time in conditions like heavy periods, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, nosebleed, tooth removal, after prostate surgery or after bladder surgery. Mefenamic Acid is used in fever, arthralgia, myalgia, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, post operative pain and pain during menstruation.
Side effects
Abdominal pain, Constipation, Diarrhoea, Epigastric pain, Flatulence, Nausea, Vomiting, Indigestion.
How to use
Your doctor or nurse will give you this medicine. Kindly do not self administer.
How it works
Tranexamic acid prevents the breakdown of clots and stops bleeding. Mefenamic acid is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause fever, pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).
