How it works
Glipizide increases the amount of insulin released by the pancreas, which in turn lowers the blood glucose levels. Metformin is an anti-diabetic medicine. It restores the body’s ability to use insulin, lowering the blood sugar levels. It also decreases the amount of glucose absorbed from food in the intestine and decreases glucose production in the liver.
